Hell Fire by Karin Fossum

Hell FireHell Fire by Karin Fossum
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the 12th book in this series and this was a great one. Karin Fossum writes such intriguing psychological thrillers.

The characters are so real in this story that after just finishing it I am still having a difficult time letting go of them. This is a story about how monsters are created and the monster in this book is just so awful and ugh!, sorry I can't even find words to describe my feelings of repulsion and anger for their actions.

I knew what was going to happen from the beginning, it tells you from the very beginning about the murders and who the victims are. but at the end of the story I was still so heartbroken about it, and even though we know the who, we don't know the why until the end and that did catch me by surprise.

Mrs. Malory and any Man's Death by Hazel Holt

Mrs. Malory and Any Man's DeathMrs. Malory and Any Man's Death by Hazel Holt
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 19th installment of one my favorite cozy mystery series, Mrs Malory series by Hazel Holt. These are perfect books to read on cold winter evenings with a hot cup of cocoa by my reading chair and my purring cat on my lap.

I love Mrs Malory all the residents of the little English village she lives in and this one involves a busy body who sticks her nose into someone else's business once to often!

Right Behind You by Lisa Gardner

Right Behind You (Quincy & Rainie, #7)Right Behind You by Lisa Gardner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I truly do love all of the books I read by Lisa Gardner, and having said that, my favorite series by her is the Quincy and Raine series.

This is a real page turner as usual and this time the crime hits very close to home because the central figure is the young girl they have just recently adopted. Loved every minute of it, kept me guessing until the very end.

2018 Reading Plans & Challenges

A Month of Summer by Lisa Wingate

A Month of Summer (Blue Sky Hill #1)A Month of Summer by Lisa Wingate
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book in the Blue Sky Hill series by Lisa Wingate, but the 2nd book in the series I have read and I loved it. It is so warm and lovely and full of wonderful characters, both sexes and all ages and from different walks of life. Lisa Wingate paints such a beautiful picture of life during a summer spent in Blue Hill.

This is a story about relationships, love lost and found, trust and has good people as well as a very bad person. I loved the ending of the book when the author pulls everything together in a beautiful and believable conclusion.

Catch Me by Lisa Gardner

Catch Me (Detective D.D. Warren, #6)Catch Me by Lisa Gardner
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In four days someone is going to kill Charlene Grant unless she can get D.D. Warren to help her find out who wants her dead and why. Finding out the answers to these questions makes for a great read and another thrill ride of a book by Lisa Gardener. Love it!
